Each control point helps minimize contamination, structural damage, loading imbalance, documentation discrepancies, and avoidable delays at the port.
Before loading starts, the empty container is checked for visible damage, water ingress, strong odor, residue, pests, and other conditions that may compromise the biomass cargo.
The floor, side walls, roof, and door panels are examined for holes, corrosion, sharp edges, protruding nails, or weak sections that could damage packaging or expose cargo to moisture.
The container must be dry, clean, and free from incompatible material. This reduces contamination risk and helps preserve the agreed physical and quality characteristics of the shipment.
TISI personnel or appointed inspectors monitor the loading process to verify handling discipline, cargo condition, loading sequence, and compliance with the agreed shipment instructions.
Cargo is arranged as evenly as practical to support safe container handling, reduce concentrated floor loads, and help prevent instability during inland transport and terminal movement.
Once loading is completed and the doors are secured, the container is sealed. The seal number is recorded to support cargo integrity, traceability, and verification at destination.
Shipment data is coordinated with the required export and terminal documents, including weight information, container and seal references, inspection records, and supporting cargo documentation.
The sealed container is formally transferred into the port and shipping-line process, with the relevant references confirmed so the shipment can proceed toward vessel loading and final destination.
Structured container and port controls improve cargo protection, shipment visibility, and buyer confidence. They also create clearer accountability across the final stages of the biomass export supply chain.
